Help tackle hunger on Super Bowl Sunday, February 2! After 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship, Augustana’s youth will be available at entrances to collect your cash donations for ELCA World Hunger and the George Washington High School food bank. You can also put a special offering in the offering plate or donate online.
Help meet or exceed last year’s Souper Bowl of Caring offering of $303 collected at Augustana! Thanks for supporting this youth-inspired, youth-led movement to tackle hunger in local communities during the weeks leading up to the biggest celebration in football, the Super Bowl.
Paint a bowl to support ELCA World Hunger and local food bank
Last year Augustana members and friends painted over 50 bowls that were auctioned off to support hunger relief efforts. The auction raised $1,000 for ELCA World Hunger. It was so fun, we’re doing it again!
Your opportunity to paint a bowl is Sunday, February 23, 9–10:30 a.m., in Fellowship Hall, but let Shanna know by February 2 (303-388-4678 ext. 107), so she can have a bowl for you. This year the bowls will be auctioned on Sunday, March 15, to support ELCA World Hunger and the George Washington High School food bank.
