Festival Christmas Concert

Join Augustana’s Chancel Choir, Augustana Ringers, AVE and members of Stratus Chamber Orchestra for the ever popular annual Christmas Concert, “Rejoice! Emmanuel.” You will delight in well-known favorites, among them, settings of “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” and “Joy to the World” by New York composer Julian Walkner, and “Angels from the Realms of Glory” by one of the choir’s favorite composers, Dan Forrest. This year Augustana Ringers will be ringing two contrasting pieces—an exuberant arrangement of “I Saw Three Ships” by John Behnke for hand-bells and orchestra, and another stunning setting of “That Night in Bethlehem” with harp and flute and handchimes. The usual audience carol singalong will be integrated into this enchanting evening.

The concert is free, but tickets are required. Obtain them in advance at www.augustanaarts.org or at the door the night of the event.
