Stratus Chamber Orchestra
“Splash, Slither, Stomp and Soar into Arts”
Sunday, August 15, noon, Augustana’s courtyard
Augustana members, friends, and families of all ages are invited to a special outdoor concert under the big tent at Augustana featuring Stratus Chamber Orchestra. Guest Conductor Catherine Sailer will lead us through “Splash, Slither, Stomp and Soar into Arts” along with music crafts for the kids to play along during the concert. You’ll hear selections such as Carnival of the Animals, “Flight of the Bumblebee,” Haydn Symphony no. 82 “The Bear,” and others!
We are also thrilled to present the concert on Saturday, August 14 at 10 a.m. at the Denver Zoo in celebration of their 125th Anniversary. The concert will take place outside the Conoco Pavilion and is included in your admission to the zoo— no other reservations for Saturday are needed.
Tickets for Sunday, August 15 are FLEX PAY, meaning you pay what you choose including a FREE option. We hope to provide a light lunch option for a donation (hot dogs and chips). Or, bring your own picnic, chairs and/or blankets and spread out under the tent or on the green, grassy lawn. Safety precautions are followed per church guidelines, and face coverings are required for those who are not fully vaccinated as well as inside the church. Visit www.AugustanaArts.org for Sunday reservations and/or more details.
Bring your whole family for this fun afternoon to celebrate summer before the school year begins!
