Gluten free communion bread retreat in person and online

• Saturday May 6, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. in person at Messiah Mountain Retreat Center (23 miles from Augustana in Indian Hills, CO) or online by Zoom.
• Zoom participants only: requires dough prep the day before, providing your own ingredients.
• Cost: $40 in person includes all ingredients and lunch; $20 on Zoom with you providing ingredients

Bread is beautiful because it is simple and nourishing. It nourishes our body and unites us in community. Join us in person or online to meditate on the beauty and mystery of bread while gaining experience, confidence, and know-how. With Pastor Ron Glusenkamp we will bake fougasse, a light, open textured bread topped with herbs. While the fougasse is rising, we will bake gluten free communion bread, led by Pastor Kent Mueller. We are always looking for more bread-bakers for our Augustana Sunday communion bread!

The registration deadline is May 1, with a limit of 12 participants in person. Zoom registrants will receive the ingredient list, instructions, and the Zoom link several weeks prior to the event.

Messiah Mountain Retreat Center is the new Rocky Mountain Synod outdoor ministry site in the nearby foothills.
