Call Committee recommends Pastor Caitlin Trussell to be Senior Pastor

Augustana’s Congregation Council encourages all members of the congregation to attend a special congregational meeting on Sunday, May 5, at 9:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The time was chosen to honor those who attend both of our morning worship services as well as those who are present for Faith Formation hour.

Council voted unanimously to affirm the Call Committee’s recommendation that Pastor Caitlin Trussell be called as Augustana’s next Senior Pastor. The Call Committee prepared a report which details their discernment process which was mailed to every member household and is available at the entrances. All are encouraged to read the report.

The vote of the congregation to call a pastor requires a 2/3 majority. At the meeting, voting members will sign in and receive a paper ballot. Augustana’s constitution defines voting members as those who are confirmed and have attended and contributed at least once in the previous year. Per our constitution, absentee balloting is not permissible for the calling of a pastor.
