CPR Skills Training
The Health Ministry Team has rescheduled our planned CPR Skills sessions for this spring. We were so sorry we needed to cancel last fall when all the instructors came down with COVID! We are hoping as spring arrives, the risk of all the respiratory illnesses will diminish.
The Health Ministry Team will lead skills training sessions based on the American Heart Association Adult & Child CPR Anytime training resources. CPR Anytime allows anyone to master the basics of adult Hands-Only CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child choking relief and general awareness of automated external defibrillators—or AEDs. These skills will help you feel more prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide basic response until EMS arrives to provide more advanced care. This is a skills and information session where you will be able to practice on a mannequin. This will not be a full certification course.
Sessions will be held on Thursday April 4, 1–2 p.m. and 3–4 p.m. and Saturday April 6, 9–10 a.m. and 11–noon in the Anna Paulson Room. Ten slots will be available for each time slot. Sign up online below. If none of these times work for you, please call or email Inez Smith from the HMT and future sessions will be considered depending on need. (303-877-2049 or lersmi@comcast.net) A $5 donation, made at the time of class, is suggested to help defray the cost of course materials.
