An event every month that begins at 7:30am on day Third of the month, repeating until Wednesday, December 19, 2018
Lutheran Men of Greater Denver is a long-standing group having begun in the mid to late 1940s. Lutheran men, both ELCA and Missouri Synods, from all across the metro area meet monthly for an early breakfast in Fellowship Hall at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 East Alameda Avenue. Breakfast meetings are the third Wednesday of each month (September through May) beginning with coffee at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast following. This allows working men to leave for their work place by about 9 a.m.
The delicious meals are prepared by Augustana’s chef, Judy Nyquist. Annual dues are $25. Breakfasts are $8. First-timers are provided a free meal. A special event is a post-holiday luncheon in January when spouses/friends are also invited, and a special program is presented.
A brief devotion is presented at each meeting and a speaker from the community is featured each month. The goal of the group is to build understanding and knowledge about our faith and our community. The group also provides financial support to our three Lutheran youth camps: Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp, Lutheran Valley Retreat, and Sky Ranch.
