New Members Class

Three times a year, Augustana offers this four-week class designed to acquaint newcomers with knowledge of the Lutheran Church and its beliefs, as well as introducing Augustana’s varied ministries. Those who just want to learn or those inquiring about church membership are both welcome.

Please contact Augustana’s Office (303-388-4678) for more information!

Families Inspired Together (FIT)

Sundays, September through May, 9:15 a.m., Rooms 2–3

The Families Inspired Together (FIT) Sunday morning class is developed specifically for parents with children in Sunday School and other young families, although everyone is welcome. The goal is to provide participants with a relevant, meaningful, and interesting opportunity to further their personal relationship with God, especially within the context of life and family issues. The class uses a variety of speakers, topics, and leaders which lead to lively and insightful discussions. Join us each Sunday at 9:15 a.m. immediately following the Sunday School opening in Room 2 for coffee and discussion.

Thursday Morning Study Group

October through May, Augustana offers a weekly small group study, Thursdays, 9:30–11 a.m. in the Anna Paulson Room, Linda Daniel facilitator. As a new or former participant, please sign up with Augustana’s office (303-388-4678).

Book Group

Meet other book lovers in Augustana’s Book Group. You will read and discuss a selected book every month as we alternate between fiction and nonfiction. Books are chosen by the members themselves through monthly nominations.

You do not need to read any or all of the selected book to attend and enjoy the conversation.

We meet the third Monday of every month at 11:15 a.m. (bring your lunch) at Augustana. Please join us to laugh, share wisdom and thoughts and make new friends.

No commitment, just drop in and join the fellowship!

Women of the ELCA Bible Studies

Augustana women’s circles meet monthly for Bible study, Christian service, outreach, and fellowship. Christian service activities include providing Easter and Thanksgiving Baskets for Warren Village, assisting in funeral receptions, and supporting non-profit organizations such as the Gathering Place, Dolores Project, ELCA Women in Prison Project, and Metro Caring. All women are welcome! To be connected with one of these study groups, contact Augustana’s office (303-388-4678).

Women, Wine and Word

This Bible study group for women of all ages meets September through May on fourth Thursdays at 7 p.m. at participants’ homes. The group will begin September 2017 using the study Fierce: Women of the Bible and Their Stories. Mary, Martha, Susanna, Ruth, and Lydia are not just players in a man’s story, but relevant foremothers of the faith. Come see how their messy and beautiful stories are like ours!
