In baptism God has decided to be your God and that you will be one of God's children. Baptism is God's powerful act. Baptism changes life forever.

In baptism God promises a relationship with you, to forgive you, and to grow you in discipleship. There are no conditions on these promises. God has simply decided.

A Christian congregation, and Augustana Lutheran Church in particular, whether it be gathering for worship, going on a youth trip, praying for the needs of the community, laughing together at a banquet, or playing in an orchestra, seeks to encourage you in those promises. That is how God creates and nourishes faith.
