Augustana members are involved in numerous outreach activities within the church, in our local community, and globally. This section includes some of the ongoing activities and invites you to join us. The first section highlights the Volunteer Opportunity of the Month (VOOM) - the social service organization that is being featured for the current month at Augustana. The second section details ongoing Local Outreach activities and includes web addresses of the agencies being supported as well as the name, phone number and email address of the Augustana contact for the activity. The third section details ongoing Global Outreach activities and includes web addresses of the agencies being supported (where possible) as well as the name, phone number and email address of the Augustana contact for the activity. The fourth, or Other, section lists outreach activities sponsored by the Women of the ELCA (WELCA) Circles. An overall contact for WELCA is included in this section. The last Discovery section is designed to lead you to an outreach activity by asking basic questions about where and in what manner you are interested in participating. It also leads you to more information about the organizations that are supported by Augustana Outreach funding. |
