Home Communion
Four times a year, Communion Teams bring communion to members and friends who are home-centered, in nursing homes, or are unable to attend church regularly. Bulletin Assembly
Bulletin assemblers meet Friday mornings, 7 a.m. in the Ammerman Library for 1 to 1½ hours to prepare the Sunday bulletins for worshipers. Volunteers may work as little as once a month to as often as once a week depending on their own preferences and availability. Other assembly times are scheduled as needed to accommodate Holy Week, Easter, and Christmas worship.

The Tower Assembly
The Tower newsletter is assembled monthly, usually on the fourth Tuesday, 1 p.m. in Rooms 106–108. (Occasionally, assembly day is changed to accommodate holidays or special events.) Each volunteer works about six times a year with a crew of 12 for two to three hours, collating, folding, sealing, and addressing the newsletter. Prayer and refreshments are routinely part of this ministry. Although many of the volunteers have been working in this ministry for years, volunteers are asked to give a one-year commitment since the work schedule is made at the beginning of the year.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
This national ministry combines caring for others and the ancient art of knitting into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy. We meet outside of the Parish Nurse office the second Sunday of the month following 10:30 a.m. worship. You are invited to join us anytime.

Needlepointers
This dedicated group of artists meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. to painstakingly needlepoint new communion kneeler covers for Christ Chapel. Some of their handiwork is on display in Augustana's Sanctuary.Contact Arvetta Hjelmstad (303-753-0821 or arvetta.hjelmstad@yahoo.com).

Other Ministries
Seniors, along with Augustana members and friends of all ages, are encouraged to serve as greeters, newsletter assemblers, ushers, Communion assistants, and in many other ways.
