 Blessing of
the Animals
Saturday, September 18, 4 p.m.
Augustana Presents! invites pets of all forms—fish, birds, snakes, lizards, ferrets, spiders, rabbits, dogs, cats—along with their humans—to the “Blessing of the Animals” service, Saturday, September 18, 4 p.m. in Stapleton’s Central Park (the east end at Martin Luther King Blvd. and Beeler St., near the bridge over Westerly Creek). There is an open-air shelter there and a shallow pond for dogs to swim in. Following the service, stay for refreshments and barbecue and get to know other attendees and their pets. Please be sure to control any pets you bring to the service. Dogs and cats must be leashed.
