Breathing and Vocal Support Class
Wednesday, August 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm MDT
Calling All Singers!
Do you sing in one of the choirs at Augustana, sing in the pews, or sing in the shower? If so, the classes below, led by Emily Murdock and Blake Nawa`a, will be of interest to you. Consider joining us in Christ Chapel for one or both of these interesting evenings.
Vocal Anatomy
Wednesday, August 14, 7–8 p.m.
The human voice is one of the only instruments that’s hidden from sight. Come learn what goes on in there and how singers produce sound from larynx to pharynx. This session will also address the differences in vocal registers, chest voice versus head voice versus mixed voice, and how to access these registers.
Breathing and Vocal Support
Wednesday, August 21, 7–8 p.m.
“Breath support!” “Sing with your diaphragm!” You may have heard these phrases before. We’re demystifying the oft-invoked but seldom-explained phenomenon of “Support” in singing.
To attend one or both of these sessions, contact Augustana’s office (303-388-4678).
