Love reading? Augustana’s Ammerman Library houses around 4,000 inspirational, fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, and movies. Reference books such as Atlases, dictionaries, and Bible concordances are also available. Readers of all ages and levels will find something to interest. Calvin the teddy bear welcomes young readers to the children’s section.
When not being utilized for meetings, the Ammerman Library is comfortably fitted for browsing, reading, knitting, or hiding out in a corner. Volunteer librarians are available to help you find that perfect book every Sunday, 8:45–11:15 a.m.
The Library Committee oversees the Ammerman Library, meeting monthly to organize, plan special activities, weed and add books, and do other library chores. Special events have included book fairs, book talks, and presentations by authors. Always, the goal of the Ammerman Library is to provide resources for personal and spiritual growth; provide basic resources on Christian faith, doctrine, other religions, and life and living for a variety of age groups; and provide basic materials as resources to Augustana’s committees and educational programs.
