All children and youth are invited to take part in the musical ensembles at Augustana. The ensembles below rehearse September through May and participate in the 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Cherub Choir

Open to children age 4 through grade 2, this choir sings the first Sunday of each month. Rehearsals are Sundays, 9–9:30 a.m.

For children in grades 3–5, this choir sings the second Sunday of each month. Rehearsals are Sundays, 9–9:30 a.m.

Middle and high school youth are invited to sing in this choir which sings the third Sunday of every month. Rehearsals are noon–12:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.

Chapel Ringers

For children in grades 4–5, this handbell choir rehearses Sundays noon–12:45 p.m. They play in worship approximately every six weeks.

This handbell ensemble is open to students in grades 6–12 and plays in worship approximately every six weeks. Rehearsals are 9–9:30 a.m. on Sundays.

Recorder Ensemble

Children in grades 2–3 learn basic music skills, how to read music, and play the recorder. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons noon–12:45 p.m.

Augustana Instrumental Ensemble

Open to children, youth, and adults, this ensemble rehearses periodically during the year on Sundays, noon–12:45 p.m. and plays on hymns and service music in worship.
