Professor Harry Waters, Jr. to preach Martin Luther King, Jr. sermon at Augustana
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave the third address for Denver Area Council of Churches Holy Week Services in April 1962 from Augustana’s pulpit. In that spirit, on Sunday, January 14, come and hear an excerpt of one of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s sermons preached at both worship services by Professor Harry Waters, Jr. Professor Waters will also lead a discussion about Rev. Dr. King’s speeches and sermons and what they teach us in Adult Forum, 9:15–10:15 a.m., in the Anna Paulson Room.
Professor Harry Waters, Jr. is recently retired from the Theater and Dance Department of Macalester College, and he was also the Associate Dean of the Kofi Annan Institute for Global Citizenship.
