All on-site Children, Youth and Family events are suspended until further notice, although we’re still planning to offer Vacation Bible School in July, and registration is now open! Scroll down for details, and be sure and visit our Worship page for online worship and devotional resources.

Holy Baptism

It all begins at Holy Baptism! Baptism is God’s action by which God’s promises are graciously given to the baptized. Baptism is for all ages of people, and one of the most wonderful gifts in life.

For information on scheduling a baptism, contact Pastor Ann Hultquist or Pastor Caitlin Trussell or call Augustana’s office at 303-388-4678 or by email.

First Communion Class

During the final weeks of Lent, children and young people in third grade or older are invited to be a part of Augustana’s communion instruction. One parent or grandparent is asked to attend each class with their child. Students spend one evening painting their own chalice at Ceramics in the City, and the celebration of First Communion happens at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday worship.

Watch this page during Lent for details, or contact our Director of Youth and Family Ministry Shanna VanderWel at 303-388-4678 ext. 107 or by email.

Vacation Bible School/Day Camp

Augustana Lutheran Church, along with counselors from Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp, will host Vacation Bible School for Augustana families and children from the community, Monday, July 13–Thursday, July 16, 2020. Children currently in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to explore the theme “Peace Works” through Bible study, recreation, arts & crafts, music, devotions and environmental education, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

We know that summer may look differently than we are planning now, but we’ll let you know if anything needs to change. Brad Abbot, Executive Director of Sky Ranch writes: “As of today, our summer programs are moving forward as planned. Until we hear anything different, our site will be ready, and staff are preparing for your arrival. Staff training starts in late May, and we should know more about our summer programs by then.”
